Our mission: The Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota (EFMN) leads the
fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate
therapies to stop seizures, find cures and save lives.

EFMN History: Founded in 1954, the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota
is a non-profit organization that offers programs and services to educate,
connect, and empower people affected by seizures. EFMN is an affiliate
of the national Epilepsy Foundation.

• Seizure Smart Schools: Is your child's school seizure smart? The Seizure Smart Schools Program brings together students, teachers, school nurses, staff, and families to foster understanding of epilepsy in schools and to teach seizure first aid. • Shining Stars: All children are special, but children with epilepsy are Shining Stars! This program connects youth from across MN and ND with other families living with epilepsy and encourages them to “reach for the stars” despite any challenges created by epilepsy. •Summer Camps: 2017 marks our 35th year of providing a safe, educational and fun camping experience for youth with seizures at YMCA’s Camp St. Croix.
